I am wondering if my car needs the software upgrade as it is 05 and most likely it was never done? How long it take and how much I should pay? What is the advantage of upgrading it? What changes I should expect?
Thx

Is everything working right? If so I wouldn't worry about it. I have heard too many stories where the upgrades stalls or fails and then they said you need a module to be upgraded to continue. It just leads to more and more, leave well enough alone. But to answer your question, if you screen has the brown background then yes there is an update for it. It typically takes an hour or so to do. I don't know about cost as they were always done to try fixing some other issues. There are no real advantages of the upgrade and I don't know how your car is optioned to be able to say what differences there would be. Its not going to give you anything you don't already have.

I would say unless you have an issue you can't resolve, or you're looking to code in the future.
If you can find the most recent daten files, this is something you can do yourself. Finding the files is not always easy, however.

Thanks
That sounds that I really do not need to mess up with it as everything works fine at this time
