Guys, i guess these software based vehicles are more adavanced then what they should be for their time. BMW was always about driving fun and excitement up untill now. They still drive great, but the problems are just outrageous. I will reset the adaptations tommorow and update you on the progress. I hope that will do the trick. because if it does not, you will see my car for sale very very soon.
I quite agree. Software problems are outrageous! I love the driving and hate the crappy electronics.

Mine went in last Wednesday for a crazy spinning iDrive dial and to help with reception problems with the radio. They updated to Progman 25. That day they called and said to come out to pick up the car. I drove their loaner out to make the swap. Nope, car is not ready yet. They did not tell me why just that it wasn't ready. They tell me to come out again on Thursday. I drive out after work. Sorry you car is not ready! I ask why? Will the installing computer crashed and well... we have to reinstall your software all over again. It will be ready Friday. Friday I drive out and I am told the head man needs to talk with me. He brings my car to the front and askes me to drive it. I look and see the iDrive screen is not centered in fact about 1/3 of it is off the screen to the left! (with a black box to the right) I ask why that happened, he said it is an incompatibility with either the front bumper camera or the rear one. They ordered a cable to fix the problem come back Saturday around noon. I show up to pick up the car, guess... It is not ready! They still can not get it fixed and I am told they need the loaner car returned on Monday.
Generously, I am offered my car back and they will have to make an appointment to fix it again. How nice!!!

I had the same problem here in Belgium, they upgraded my I-drive and the screen wasn't centered anymore. They could resolve it right away and they disconnected my rearview camera so that I would have the centered screen. I took them 3 weeks to obtain a software patch from BMW. No w everything works fine. This happened when I upgraded to version 23.
Now, last week I went to my dealer to order a new car and apparently the camera's aren't sold anymore and therefore no longer supported in the latest Idrive soft. They checked it because I proposed them to install the old camera on the new car, but BMW gave a negative advise.
For ones they had 1 thing that is helpfull and works great and know they don't support it anymore. Go figure. Maybe it's because they install their leftover camera's on the new X5 ;-)

Well I just had v25 installed...and LOVE IT!
I think the new menu's and colors are much more modern looking. Thinking back to it, the brown seems straight out of the 80's in comparison. The search feature in nav is excellent.
My manual seems much more smoother and sounds more refined. There is definately a change here...I never thought I would be able to notice it this much.
Overall I am very happy. All this for free because v23 took out my side indicators and eyebrow.

Progman 25 installed over the weekend and so far I am underwhelmed.
On a non Nav car there appears to be nothing new.
In addition the so called 2-1 tip in code fix for Transmission slam seems to have made no difference at all.

Going to look for either a 2003 540i Sport 6spd or the M5. Had two of those previously and those were nothing but FUN FUN FUN.
