I just had it done and the vehicle is still here at the dealer ship. Unfortunately For people who do not have Navigation Systems, the screen backround DOES NOT change. You just get the new features of the software, but again the screen backround is the same as previous.
Just wanted to share that information with you guys. I will update you guys on the driving after the upgrade.

Yah when I got 24.02 upgrade 2 weeks back in Hunterdon BMW, It didnt change any backgrounds for my non-NAV IDRIVE

I guess it would be same for 25.00 too. I guess you need CCC for those backgrounds.

By the way which Dealer in NJ did you go to?

I feel that people that dont have nav, 25 programming is not necessary. For people with nav, its worth it cause lot of new features are integrated. plus if the Graphics dont change, I dont see the point in spending money for the same thing, expect the better mp3 capabilities.

Guys, here is a tip for you. If you are having no problems with your current software and drivability of your BMW, DO NOT DO THIS!!! My car drove perfectly before and now it drives like crap. I have a huge delay when i hit the gas. I will have to reset the Valvetronic adaptions and see what happens then. Very disatisfied at this moment.

Are you sure it's just the adaptive transmission learning all over again the driving style. I remember my car with this behaviour every time I did a software upgrade - few days later it was fine...

..how does one "reset the Valvetronic adaptions" ? - never heard of that one before.

Mine went in last Wednesday for a crazy spinning iDrive dial and to help with reception problems with the radio. They updated to Progman 25. That day they called and said to come out to pick up the car. I drove their loaner out to make the swap. Nope, car is not ready yet. They did not tell me why just that it wasn't ready. They tell me to come out again on Thursday. I drive out after work. Sorry you car is not ready! I ask why? Will the installing computer crashed and well... we have to reinstall your software all over again. It will be ready Friday. Friday I drive out and I am told the head man needs to talk with me. He brings my car to the front and askes me to drive it. I look and see the iDrive screen is not centered in fact about 1/3 of it is off the screen to the left! (with a black box to the right) I ask why that happened, he said it is an incompatibility with either the front bumper camera or the rear one. They ordered a cable to fix the problem come back Saturday around noon. I show up to pick up the car, guess... It is not ready! They still can not get it fixed and I am told they need the loaner car returned on Monday. Generously, I am offered my car back and they will have to make an appointment to fix it again. How nice!!! :thumbsdown:

Guys, i guess these software based vehicles are more adavanced then what they should be for their time. BMW was always about driving fun and excitement up untill now. They still drive great, but the problems are just outrageous. I will reset the adaptations tommorow and update you on the progress. I hope that will do the trick. because if it does not, you will see my car for sale very very soon.
