I had a 2004 525i it was 185 hp, the new 2007 530i has 255 hp
The question is? will there be a notice difference in performance? does 70 hp make a difference at all?
I did notice that the 525i had some passing problems on the autobahn, but once it was up it was moving. The only problem is if someone pulls out in front of you driving slower then you have to build up speed again. with the 525i it took a little time.

Like alot! It would feel faster and pull stronger in all gears. The increase of torque will help alot also. Hell 70bhp or even less makes a difference on an E60 M5 as we've seen.

You'll will feel significant different in terms of torque. However, you'll get used to it, and ask for 550 ![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
Once you get used to 550, you'd ask for M5.
Believe me. It's never enough!

i was able to drive a friend's '04 530 (225hp) compared to my '06 530 (255hp) and noticed some differences in pull off the line (not much, if considering against a 545/550/M5). so i would imagine there would be some difference between the 70hp but mainly in the torque.
