that is test run by BMW on a frozen lake somewhere in Sweden....
I've got videos of almost all current BMW models doing this.... the M6 looks the best. Too bad the forum does not allow to post large video file....

You can see that it is an x-drive model. Just watch the front left wheel when he is accelerating out of the curve during the first lap on the video.

And the great thing about the snow tracks made on frozen lakes is that there is absolutely nothing you can hit. So you can really PLAY with the car and when it sometimes gets out of control (which will inevitably happen on a snow track) you just slide around in soft snow without damaging your car. Even on the video the guy spins once, and I assume he is a professional test driver...

Snow blown tracks are usually like this, but few years back winter was snowless and young guys hit to poles which were there for drive of timber. Dead... So there is snake in the paradise.

But safely done IT'S HELL OF FUN!!

My Ride: 2005 525i Titanium Silver Metalic and 2003 325xi Jet Black with the Premium Package in both cars.

That certainly looked like the driver was having a barrel of fun , I have the x-drive in my wifes 325xi, it really does handle great in the snow.
