Not to knock the iX, because If I had the loot to get one - I would have............BUT I had a pretty cool time slushing around in the snow. I know I should have some snow tires though, so what tires do you recommend? Thanks.

I have the Michelin Pilot Alpins and I've been very pleased with them, but this is my first time every driving a RWD car in snow, so I really have nothing to compare it too.

Winter is damn near over so I'd save the money for the time being.

I agree with the post above in regards to waiting.

I have the Continental WinterContiSport. They have been great! They have gotten through snow coverd roads without issue. Again 95% of our driving has been wet or dry roads one a few hours on the snow covered roads.

tirerack.com is where I bought them

Blizzak LM-25's are the best for winter. Car handles better than my SUV now.

Wow, Nice Handling and your SUV is All-Wheel Drive?

There are two types of Blizzak LM-25, Blizzak LM-25 4x4 with UNI-T and Blizzak LM-25 with UNI-T.

Which one is yours? Does it mean that 525i can't use LM-25 4x4 with UNI-T?

What makes LM-25 different than other Bilzzaks like LM-22 or DM-Z3?

Sorry, I ask a lot of questions. because I'm not an expert in Tyres.

Thanx.
