Smokey 525D
Hi I have had a re-map and DPF removal (gutting) done on my 2006 525D (Auto).
The guy who did it came recommended. but now it smokes real bad occasionally usually when on the overrun.
I took it back to the guy who did the re-map and DPF. It didn't smoke at all when I followed the car to his garage. When he revved it and held the revs it smoked quite a bit of blueish smoke. I left it with him and he took it for a spin and ragged the arse of it from the look of the fuel gauge. He says he has double checked everything that he did and it is 100% and that my Turbo seals are leaking due to crankcase pressure.
So I changed the crankcase filter (the old one was ok) consequently there was no change.
I have now taken it to another garage who are not convinced it is the seals at all and say more like over fueling.
When I left that garage I had to go down a very steep hill so on the overrun, when I stopped at the bottom of the hill clouds of smoke came out the exhaust????
It doesn't seem to be using any engine oil, but does seem to be giving bad MPG but was ok when first mapped and DPF removed.
Has anyone any experience with this kind of fault?
