Smoked cars...
Ok before you start telling me that the e60 is not a drag car, well i kinda agree with you , BUT i couldn't hep it!
SO For legal race supporters this is a no no story
Had 3 different drags yesturday night with standing start: (power braking, M1, in DTC(btw DTC is best for drag imo, tryed also DSC off and you kinda loose time especially with all those toruqes to the ground))
-one with a Golf V GTI and i had a 3-4 cars advantage at 200km/h
-one with a Honda Civic Typer R (2005 model 6.6 sec 100km/h) 5 cars back at around 200km/h
-one with the touareg v10 TDI well that kinda lost touch
I was goind to do an Audi S3 and just for the purpose of comparing with a e46 M3 but then we decided to move to another location because that one was starting to be targeted by the police...and we didn't find another suitable place. Damn cops!
My guess is that i could pass the S3 also but much much harder (maybe 0.5 cars distance or less).
The M3 had a run with a ford escort cosworth, but the ford had a fatigued engine and couldn't keep up. From what i heard the cosworth should be a hell of a car with a time 0-100km/h in 5 sec dead.
Anyway i had a good time and really showed the petrolheads some diesel power.
I hardly can wait to get this car chipped at the german tuner wetter..smth.
Can anyone point me to the website of this tuning company? I had to format my hdd and lost all data, and i tryed to google it and couldn't find it. Thanx

Ok i tend to see that alot of people drag from roll ons. Especially alot of movies and clips from the states! What happened to the old fashion drag from stand still? What are the benefits from rollin start? Not putting to much pressure on the car or what? Or maybe the times 80-120 and so on become more relevant?

[/quote]Oh ok! I got the ideea, i do that quite rarely because i drive most of the time in city and if i floor it , i end up braking 3-4seconds later
So what i usually do is drive at night when the traffic is very lite and find good spots to drag.

just raced with 330d today
pulling from like 40kms on open highway i did manage to be 1 car lenght infront of him all the way up to 240km/h
And since his car was all with spoilers, bigger exhaust etc.... and also badged M3 !!!!!!! idiot!!!!! I assume it was remapped as well.
I'm quiet surprised, I would expect lighter car with more torque to beat me.
Also my SMG paddles help a little too I think. Love it.
