Default Smoke Test

Hi,

I've been battling these four error codes for a few weeks on my 2004 BMW 545i, N62.
Codes: P0011:2731 / P0014:27BB / P0021:2732 / P0024:27BC

Did a smoke test but was informed that it was incorrectly done. I wedged up the throttle with a couple rags and injected the smoke via the air breather.

Was informed that for it to reach the valve cover gaskets(the likely culprit), I must follow this procedure:
- Turn the key on, without starting the engine.
- Depress throttle and have a partner inject the smoke.

Now another mechanic has informed me that that is incorrect also.

Any ideas?

Thanks

If somebody supplies instructions, I will post a video on youtube showing the exact procedures.
