For the second time in 2 days, while driving in stop and go traffic (holiday traffic in NYC is brutal), I have experienced some transmission issues. After coming to a stop, when I step on the gas, the car does not move. The revs shoot up as if I was in neutral or as if the clutch pedal (if there was a cluthc pedal) was depressed. I have to manually shift the car into netral, then shift back into first to engage the gear. Aftet that , it is fine.

Has anyone else experienced this? Was it software realted or physical. I am running 13.2

I had an SMG failure 3 weeks ago. They told me there is an updated software version for the SMG and they updated mine.
Maybe thats it.

This happened to me about a mile from the dealer on the day I bought my car. It hasn't happened since. Since its happened more than once with you, I'd take it into the dealer as Jochen suggests.

Do you put it in Neutral when you stop? If so, you need to remember to put your foot on the brake or it will not go into 1st.
On the other hand, I've noticed a few times when leaving my office that I think I should be in 1 and the car just rev's (my co-workers think I'm just showing off). Back to N then 1 and off I go.
I thought it was just me but now that you mention it, I'll pay a little more attention. I have Ver. 13.23. It has NEVER happened in traffic. Only when 1st leaving... and as I said before, maybe it's just me??

No - I have not put in in neutral when stopping. I would downshift into first, slow down, and then stop. When traffic allowed, i would step on the gas, theengine would rev but the car would not move. I would then shift into and out of neutral, and be on my way.

If i bring it in for servie, I know they will do a software update. But, as everything elese is working very smoothly, I do not know if i want to make any changes.
