Thats also another problem with the non M SMG paddles. The M ones are stuck at 9 and 3 o'clock so you'll never "not know" where the paddles are.

I prefer the ///M.
Are the M paddles nailed at 9 and 3 o'clock? I thought they moved with the wheel like the ones on the non-M cars...

You're right... it moves along with the steering wheel... Its not nailed at 9 and 3 I was thinking F430... Too much talk about it right now and got distracted...

I like the m-tech steering wheel...the leather looks a lot nicer than mine which feels more or less like hard rubber.

I know that the plus/minus configuration is more "standard" on race cars, and other exotics
Not on a F1 car, the left side is the clutch, only the right side is used for shifting similar to the SMG on non M cars, so don't feel bad Rudy, you don't need to pay the price of the M cars and still get some racing technology, in fact the best since even F1 driver are shifting the way you are.

The non-M paddles are superior..... plain and simple.

They allow single handed driving, with either hand, while still permitting up and down shifts.

Example... I often drive with my left hand on the wheel, and right hand holding a drink. On an M, this would be difficult, since the upshift is only right handed.

Not to mention times when the right hand is on the iDrive controller...
