do most of u leave the car in gear or "n" wth the park brake?
Usually in gear will handle most Dallas situations. Other times I may leave in gear with the brake set. The only advantage to leaving in neutral, I guess, would be a quicker start up.
In gear with brake every time (SMG or traditional cars.) That's what I've done since I learned to drive...
Leave mine in "N" I am used to doing it in other cars. Besides it has to be in "N" to start it. However, if I am not on a pretty stable flat surface then I leave in gear.
I leave my SMG in gear, and use the handbrake every time.
If you leave it in N and turn off the car, the dash light gives you a warning. I think BMW wants you to leave it in gear. |
I leave mine in gear (either forward or reverse) and with the parking brake on.
In gear...always
If PB fails you still have back-up. |
I leave it in gear and with the parking brake on. I have had problems with the system recognizing Neutral when I have left the car in Neutral for start up. I have found that when I start the car, it recognizes Neutral everytime when I have to take it from Gear to Neutral.
