The Dealer called today, BMWNA has determined my 545i's Hydraulic Pump for the SMG will need to be replaced.

- Has anybody had only the pump replaced? (Should I request any other parts from BMWNA?)
- Has anybody had this problem twice (perhaps the new pumps have addressed the issue?)
- What is the latest version of SMG software that should be loaded?

Nothing can be guaranteed a one time fix. BUT what i can tell you is there have been a handfull of people here who have replaced the Hydraulic pump and I havent heard back from them that they've had any problems since.

I think I posted that... in your previous thread... have your dealer check your hydraulic pressure....

I would venture to say you should be ok for a long time after the pump is replaced. Let them repalce it and see what happens.
