remove the spare tire and drive naked. less weight = faster acceleration.

Might help if you give us a little more to go on.
The 545 is a legit mid 5 zero to 60 car. In the right hands even lower. You got to have a serious car to get under 5.
What exactly is his problem or what he trying to accomplish??

25 sec. reset doesn't work with SMG.
Is he driving in sport mode?? Keep the thing out off D1.
He could always use launch mode but that isn't recommended on city streets (do search on that or look in the manual).
Sprintbooster will change the feeling of the the pedal. It won't make the car faster but will give the gas pedal much more of a "hair trigger". Basically what use to be maybe 1/4 of the pedal down will now be 1/8 of the pedal down. Makes it much more touchy.
If he wants more speed basically (for the most part) all that is out there is exhaust, intake, and ECU remap.
Otherwise buy an M5.

I think I understand what your saying....with SMG there are 2 extremes and very little in the middle. SMG is lazy off the line (due to the clutch needing to engage first) specially if you just give it low to medium throttle input...you'll get beat by the girl in a Kia Rio every time! But if you have it in "Sport Mode", dissengage "Traction Control", engage "Launch Control"...look out! You are going for the ride of your life!!!
