I always found it a pain when filling up the car and getting my mileage reading having forgotten to check it prior to engine switch off (company fuel card). It meant pushing the start button with the key in but not pressing the brakes to get the computer to show the mileage. After nearly 2 years I accidentally discovered today that simply pushing the little stalk in the speedo shows the details and nicely turns off after about 20 secs...... should have RTFM!

Haha ya... that little trick has been on BMWs since the E34 (1990) maybe even earlier but I didnt have one before that...
