Well.. What you guys think about this?

I was not the fault guy now, I managed to just avoid hitting Nissan X-trailīs left side A-pillar, instead I took his front end off and slightly bended its front frame. My car lost lights and lots of plastic stuff. No airbags deployed. Speed at impact was around 40 km/h , but as you can see it was deflection collision, my car travelled 5 metres after the hit.

2005 model fully loaded, 122000km driven.

What you think about repair costs?

Doesn't look too bad. I doubt it would be totaled. Maybe 5k?

New wing, bonnet, bumper lights, At least E3000.

The biggest question will be if any suspension components have been damaged.

A slight collision?

Well it's around $3000 in US, I'm not sure how much in Finland.

I wouldnt call that slight... Front Quarter panel, hood, nose, lamps (lamps are $1200 US alone)etc... paint and blending... provided nothing structural is damaged I would say $8-9 US...

The opponent carīs front bumber steel did the damage, it went right through the hole you see. It took everything apart on its way and ripped side panel open like a canopener. Also there are fractures on bodyparts just front of shock absorber.

Front lights are over 700? alone , checked from bmwfans.info

Lost also tire and alloy wheel. I do not know if suspension/steering is damaged. I am thinking a bill around 7-10k? including all the work.. luckily I am not the guy paying for it.

Got an estimate today, around 10k? for repairs at BMW body shop. They had to transfer the car to another location for repairs because where I live there arenīt tools available for repair. They have to swap some aluminium bodyparts..

My carīs resale value is around 27k? around here, so insurer wonīt offer me cash for it , its cheaper to repair.

But this was just an estimate, it might go down or up until they manage to open the whole wrecked side and see if there are more cracks anywhere.

Oh well...

I sure hope BMW repair shop can do the job well.

You should be OK if it is a BMW certified repair shop.
