Thank you for the feedback. Vh Vne are indeed Aeronautical terms, Vh being defined as the fastest crusing speed (Velocity), and Vne being Velocity never exceed. Sometimes the jargon from the airplane crossess over to the terra based transport.

I am located in Boise, Idaho, and the car was serviced and sold by Peterson. When I built the car on line, I shopped the car to Seattle, Portland, Bend, and Sal Lake, and in the end these guys were fairly close, plus the sales chick is totaly hot. Somone posted a long time ago what the price lists were for the base cars plus the options, so after I e-mailed the car build, I sat back on did sort of an reverse auction until Peterson got serious.
Handling on the car is superb, getting into the same realm as the 911's in some aspects. The brakes on this car are better than the 964, and approach the 993 in terms of stopping power and loss of fade. Even in serious alpine driving, these brakes continue to impress me. The tranny, on rare occasions, seems to try and find a better gear, but again, if I had agility and was 20, I'd use the manual part. or not balk at paying the feds $1300.00 for ther gas guzzler tax.
Raped ape is a highly technical term, usually used to denote accleration that approaches 45 m/ps/s.

Nice writing studavis,
Did a short version of your first writing, for the lacy readers.
“I think BMW should delete the owner’s manual, and replace it with a single sheet of paper listing this forum.
First car I ever built and financed on line.
Arguably one of the best overall road cars on the planet, both in performance, styling and comfort.
This car is stunningly gorgeous to look at.
The M5 probably has more, it is just quieter.
The seats are the benchmark for everyone else to strive for.
At 155 (mph), things are pretty stable.
The NAV system is the best of the three that I have in my other cars.”

I prefer v1 rotate and mach .84 myself.
I too want more power for my 550i and the upcoming twin turbo v8 engine would be enough for me to trade in my current car. It really is a blast to drive.
I just noticed that I have never used the cruise control yet. I just enjoy passing people so much that I have never given it a thought.

The voice activation system provides no real usefull help, although it is fun to confuse it to the point I some times expect it to tell me to go f myself.
LMAO!
Excellent writeup.
Here are my complaints...
I would have to say the car doesn't feel as fast as it is... i have yet to decide if thats a good or bad thing but when E46 M3s and E39 M5s can't pull away from me and pull up behind me to see which model they just raced that is great reasurrance.
The car is very smooth even with the sport package... i just can't imagine how smooth the non sport E60s are... even with the 20" rims i have on my car the car is just as smooth as a lexus with stock wheels... even though thats great thats not what i was looking for... i was looking for a ride closer to my previous E39 540i sport.
The brakes are AWESOME! but the squeeking and high pitch noise they produce is ridiculous... 2 trips to the dealer and still waiting on the brake noise to go away.
I would say my biggest complaint would be... v8 4.8L 360hp GREAT! but why doesn't the car sound like it has that power? awfully quiet exhaust note is very upsetting but atleast they fixed that on the LCI 550s
