I'm having a strange problem with my Sirius satellite radio. My list of preset stations was somehow erased. When I try to store a station, it appears to work, but when I try to reference the preset list, it remains empty.

I initially suspected a weak battery in my fob. I have confort access, and the system was complaining for awhile that the battery was low. But I replaced the battery, and the problem remains.

It also seemed to coincide with the recent change to the Sirius satellite channel numbers.

Anybody ever see this problem?

I have the same problem and it occurred after Sirius updated their channels. And I do NOT have a fix for it.

It's related to the Sirius channel update. BMW is aware of this and has sent out a missive to their dealers, advising them that, as of right now, there's no fix. Hopefully, Sirius and/or BMW will get this figured out soon.

Here is a copy of the fix I picked up on Bimmerfest from a user over there named zer0cool.

It worked for my car and seems to be working for others as well. I can't believe the dealer wanted $120 to do this.

Interesting ... my car is an early '07 and I only had to update my Sat presets after Sirius revamped their line-up.

I think those with Sirius on their car from the factory weren't affected. It seems to affect those of us that had it added at the dealer. I have only anecdotal evidence of that but that is the way it seems.

Thanks very much. I'll give this a try.

I added mine at the dealer... Thanks for the coding- I will try it to tomorrow. $120 to fix an issue that's not mine is a bit ridiculous
