Hi!

Our car are going in for service next week, and I would really like to have MP3, but I don't wan't to loose voice rec. or bluetooth as I did in 17.xx.

Are there any bad things in CIP 20.xx ? All our equipment is working now, and I'm only upgrading to CIP 20.xx so I can play MP3

Are there any changes in the autogear box? Fuel comsumption?

CIP 20.00 (since beginning of jan 06) here no problem at all.

Major benefits:
More aggressive steptronic
Improved BT connection with V3 (faster and stable) and possibility to dial DTMF during call
MP3 ready

I have been in contact with the bmw country office in Belgium about the MP3 problems I have had since I bought the car (2004/9)

I will have CIP 21 on it in a few days, I will let you know how it goes

Do you know what's fixed/changing in CIP 21.x? I have a service appointment in a week and am wondering if I should upgrade

The current Progman version in the U.S. seems to be 20.01 although 20.02 is available in the event it is directed to be used as part of a PuMA case.

After my CIP 20.xx installed, I feel Moto V3 connection is slower than CIP 19.xx. The calls drop when I am already on the phone with someone and then start the engine.
I also hear more "dings" when I start up the car, after I already fasten my seat belt.

But the benefit is getting MP3, I still recommend getting the latest version

How do you get at your current software version?

When I went in for service earlier this week they said the new software was being recalled and that a new one will be released soon.

Quick Reply: Should I get CIP 20.XX ?
