Should I buy now?
#11
This is an age old question 'early-adopters' always ask and if you wait and wait and wait, then you will eventually never buy. If you need it and can spare the cash for it, then I say, go for it...... it is a beautiful car to drive and the pre-LCI models have had most of their bugs sorted out. I hear though, that the LCI models still have some teething problems....

My opinion: buy or lease an LCI now using Euro Delivery. The 5 er is an absolutely great car. The 535 with the sport package is an amazing value.

it is obvious that i should buy from the responses. Thanks mate!
my next question is concerning the color. Black or Olivin? i don't intend to mod my ride except to change the rim (maybe).

If you can wait a few months, the lease rates will drop on the '08s and you'll get an all around better deal. Under no circumstances should you purchase the car -- it depreciates like an elevator.
Better yet, do an ED for October delivery. Then you'll have all the post-August updates and an even better price. ED works very well with leasing. My 2007 530i is leased for 24 months, and the payment is only $515 inclusive of tax and zero down. When the lease runs out in late 2008, I'll do it again.

Buy now dude, 2010 is a long way off, too far off IMO. Enjoy the fabulous car that the E60 is right now. Plus you will not want the first model year of the new 5er, trust me, will probably be best to wait for 2011 or 2012 so "kinks" get worked out of new production. My lease runs out summer of 09 and I will purchase ( have an awesome residual) and wait for second or third year of new body style.

I may be in the minority here, but I'd say wait for the next 5er if you're able to. Once the 2010's come out then make the decision whether or not to go for it. If you don't like the new 2010 5er then at that time I'd imagine you'd be able to pick up an '09 for pretty cheap (all things considered).
Personally, I don't have the willpower to wait for a couple years, but if you do then you might as well wait.
