My Ride: 525d Sport Auto (Steptronic), Carbon Black, Aubern Dakota Leather, Media Pack (Bluetooth, ProNav, 6 CD Changer)
Just been to pick my E60 up from the body repair shop. She looks more beautiful than ever.............it was sunny and the carbon plack looked a deep metallic shade of purple. 
Enjoyed the 330d loaner, felt quite a bit quicker than mine with a bit less lag from a standing start, but very happy to have the E60 back, it is just a lot more..................cultured I think is the word. The iDrive, Nav, OBC, Entertainment systems are just more integrated with the car (although I guess this would be the case with the E90 now).
In fact all this episode has done is made me want a 535d at my next change of car - must be awesome.....
Enjoyed the 330d loaner, felt quite a bit quicker than mine with a bit less lag from a standing start, but very happy to have the E60 back, it is just a lot more..................cultured I think is the word. The iDrive, Nav, OBC, Entertainment systems are just more integrated with the car (although I guess this would be the case with the E90 now).
In fact all this episode has done is made me want a 535d at my next change of car - must be awesome.....

Interesting you should say that - I recently had a similar experience. When my 04 530i went in for SW update, I was given a 325i loaner. It was a great drive - very quick and nimble, basically FUN!!! I still prefer my "saloon" over the 325, but I did enjoy it while it lasted!!!!
