Went to see my new 2008 550i sport with auto sport tranny today at dealer. Just arrived this morning. Unfortunately, I cannot take her home today, dealer need a little time to prepare as you can see from pics. I have been waitng since May when i traded my 07 550i sport SMG for this one. Why??? I just didn't appreciate the SMG, not saying anything bad about it. So I had the 07 550 for about 6 month and 1500 miles and got rid of it. Ouchhhhhhhh, that kick in the S still hurts. Anyway will pick her up in a few days since dealer is about a hour drive from where I live. Also I close my business one day a week, so have to wait for that day...next tuesday. Congrats to all who have received your car!!!! Enjoy!!! I am sure i will be more active here now that I have mine, will be reading about the new tranny from those that are driving it.

Heard a lot about it. Had a hard time finding one to test drive where I live. Bought into the "hype". Afterward, I realize that the tranny wasn't for me. Hard and expensive lesson learned. Anyways, move on with life, its too short to be suffering if you can fix the problem. lolll

Looks nice -- sorry you took such a beating getting out of your SMG. Clearly, it's not for everyone and it's even clearer that you either love it or hate it...
Since it sounds like you prefer the automatic, and since I just took delivery of my 550i sport auto, I can safely tell you that you are going to LOVE this car!!

Ah I see... ya... good choice with the 08 though. It sounds like you'll love the new Sports Auto... I just hope I dont... I dont want to do you what you did...

What type of stories would you like to hear??? I only posted a real situation. Sorry that it didn't entertain you. I am sure that perhaps you prefer stories that are a more little exciting and stretched. As soon as i pick up the car, i will post some better pics.
