I just finished putting the shadowline on my car today. I bought this tape from ebay. It ended up being electric tape that worked fine.
Here are before and after pictures.

Thx! Up close pictures will be taken tomorrow since its dark outside now. It does look good up close but kind of obvious if you know that I did something to it.

3m makes tape for this purpose. You put it on and then hit it with a heat gun and it gets all the airbubbles and folds out.

there is a right and a wrong way to do everything. to each their own... hopefully it works out for him. hopefully the 3m tape works out for the people who used that too.

Looking at your pic's, the shadowline definitely looks better than the chrome trim. Matches your carbon-fiber roundels. Good job!

IMHO, I'm not a fan of truck lids...

Beware the car wash. I had this tape and ripped it off in a fit of rage after a few days.
