A couple of days ago I finally had my shadow line trim fitted.
Had a indy shop with love for BMW's do the work, with the DIY from this forum as a helping hand...

They did an excellent job. They even removed the old trim totally intact within three hours...

I think the results look stunning, just what my ride needed..

What do you think guys?

after

Also decided to paint my calipers, while saving for a BBK...

That looks amazing man, in regard to the wheels, whats the clearance like with the 20's? I'm contemplating a set of 20's myself, but worried about rubbing etc. Super job with the trim and callipers, bet they look the mutts nuts when its pollished up in the sun

Thanx guys,

Clearance is not an issue...I have lowering springs (-30mm) and when fully loaded with passengers and fuel, i have absolutely no rubbing
If you go for 20's make sure you get the correct width on the back tires...I have a 275/30 on a 10,5J wheel...285 would be to wide...

Truly is amazing how much better shadowline trim is. The chrome trim makes the ugly lines of the E60 "pop", which is why it has to go. I love when people that have chrome trim try to convince themselves that it blends with the car and other accents of their mods. Cracks me up. Bottom line -- chrome trim doesn't make the car flow and is bad on the eyes. Lose it!

Great job.

Yeah, It is beside me why people actually invest in getting chrome mods , but hey, to each his own haha

Thanx for the compliments guys!

Now saving for a nice leather interior, because I'm feeling so stupid having bought a car with no leather (first car in years with no leather...thought I wouldn't miss it...WRONG! haha)

Looks great! Aren't you concerned about the "M" emblem over the RPI scoop? I would think it would lessen the airflow going in.
