Default Servotronic Steering retrofit

Hello
First of all, i need to know if all e60 have servotronic. In my factory options list i don't see anything about servotronic.
If all e60 have servotronic steering it is possible to code my car for get this options?
If not, what i need to change to have servotronic ?

Thank you

E60's came with three different rack and pinion setups.
1. Standard Hydraulic Steering
2. Servotronic Hydraulic Steering
3. Active Steering w/ Servotronic ElectroMechanical Steering

You can't switch by just coding. You'd need to replace your current rack with
the appropriate unit and then code.

If you have base steering is the module that controls servotronic control valve on rack already in the car?

I don't know if Servotronic has its own module or are the functions handled by another module.

Looking at your sig, you have the 550i w/ sport package. I am under the impression that all Sport Package vehicles have Servotronic or Active Steering. I could be incorrect though.

Just did a little checking and here is what I found.
U.S. bound 2007 550i's were produced over a two month time period (Jan. 2007 to Feb 2007).
All of these cars received Active steering w/ Servotronic or just the regular Servotronic rack.
So, for your 2007 550i the options were:
a. Servotronic Hydraulic Steering
b. Active Steering w/ Servotronic Electromechanical Steering.

Hopes this helps. What are you trying to do?

I know my 550I has servotronic. I specifically searched for manual trans and NO active $teering.
I was just in the conversation to pose that question.

So, if i change my Standard Hydraulic Steering with a Servotronic Hydraulic Steering and make some coding, will have Servotronic option on my car? Don't need any module or anything else?
Ask this, because my rack is damaged and must change it immediately. If i have to change it I would like to upgrade to the servotronic.
Thank you

Active steering includes a motor on steering shaft that can alter the amount steered at wheels a bit when the stability system sensors decide that needs to happen. AS also decouples the steering wheel from wheels a few degrees at very high speed to make steering less twitchy and sensitive. AS also includes servotronic.
