All true. I was looking at the specs (on site or in the manual) and the thickness is given.

Maybe we can get someone that uses the California mini-duster method to clean their wheels to dedicate one for the front and one for the back. Then, we can weigh the differences to see how much brake pad has been used!

Ours are wearing rear before front. As is stated before, rear pads are thinner so they wear more evenly with the front pads.

Yes we certainly can NOT use SUEBMW's car as a model example of the way things should work.

Not picking on her at all. I am really and truely upset by her experience. It seems as if everything that could possibly go wrong and some things that are not possible have actually occured to her vehicle. All I am saying is that her "lemon" can not be described as the normal experience.

Ok, but there's nothing wrong with my brakes... (yet) It's pretty darn hard to screw up pads in a car. I admit the electronics of the braking system are suceptible, but....
