PERFORM THE PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN THIS SERVICE INFORMATION ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES THE NEXT TIME THEY ARE IN THE SHOP FOR MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS, AND BEFORE RETAIL DELIVERY.

SUBJECT
Service Action: Replace the Hands-Free Charging Electronics (MULF2-High)

MODEL
E60, E61 (5 Series)*

E90, E91, E92, E93 (3 Series)*

* Only vehicles equipped with the USB Audio Interface (option 6FL)


SITUATION
Intermittent resets during use of the USB Audio Interface (e.g. iPod, MP3 player) can result in interruption of the playback function.

CAUSE
Internal fault in the Hands-Free Charging Electronics (MULF2-High).

AFFECTED VEHICLES
This Service Action involves E90, E91, E92, E93 (3 Series) and E60, E61 (5 Series) vehicles which were produced from February 1, 2007 to March 9, 2007.

In order to determine if a specific vehicle is affected by this Service Action, it will be necessary to utilize the "Service Menu" of the DCS (Dealer Communication System). Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the corrective action or take no further action.

The Chassis Number Ranges listed below are only for informational purposes and are not to be considered as the only deciding factor.

were did you get this one from, Just out of curiosity .
Not a lamens from BMW answer lol.
Just i cant find this on the bmw uk system yet could just be late on an update

This is from BMWNA - Usually apply elsewhere but is a service here in US.

Do you need a adobe file of the whole SIB? I usually post enough to alert folks and wit until some says they want a copy to take to dealer before making whole file.

that would be cool, just a customer has the problem and he took it off of the e90 board, and i have been searching for it, told him to wait a few days so i can do some research on it ha. typical look to the net and you shall find.
But i think ill have to still wait till GB release it. Shouldnt be long.
