My Ride: 2008 BMW 535i

Well guys, I got a warm welcome to the world of BMW last night. I'm a proud owner of a 2008 535i with 66K miles. I've had the car for about 2 months.
Like the title says my serpentine belt broke while driving last night. Fortunately I made it home. Just out of curiosity I tried to turn the alternator pulley and it won't turn. Hard to believe this happened at 66K miles. I'm a previous owner of a 2004 Nissan Maxime is 148K miles and never changed the alternator.
Any ideas on the best/cheapest way to repair?
Any instructions online to remove the alternator?
