September BMW Group vehicle sales totaled 24,932 units which was a 7.0% increase over the 23,303 Bimmers and Minis sold last September. The YTD sales total of 248,273 for the first 9 months of 2007 was up 8.0% from the 229,833 sold during the same period of 2006. The YTD result is based almost totally on the sales increase for the 3 Series.

Sales of the X Series decreased 12.2% this month while car sales were up 7.7% when compared to last September.

Sales of the BMW brand were up 2.8% this month when measured against last September.

Mercedes-Benz sales of 22,459 units in September was a 13.0% increase when compared to the total of 19,873 sold last September. YTD 2007 sales for MB are up only 1.8%. MB trucks were up 10.6% in September and 12.3% YTD when compared to the 9 month period of last year.

Lexus sales totaled 25,114 units this September, down 2.3% from the 25,700 sold last September. Lexus YTD sales for the first 9 months of 2007 were up 4.3% compared to the same 9 months of 2006.

Please note that I report only United States sales data.

Interesting to notice that half of BMW sales in US are E90?s.

E60?s less than a fifth and not even as much as X3?s and X5?s together.
