September was a good month for the 5 Series as sales were up 27.1% with 4,005 units sold vs. 3,190 sold last September. However, YTD sales for the first 9 months of 2007 were down 2.7% when compared to the same period of 2006.

By way of comparison, sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class were also up 21.4% with sales of 4,993 units this month and 4,112 units last September. YTD sales of the MB E Class were up a modest 2.8% for the first 9 months of 2007.

Please note that I report only United States sales data.

Thanks for reporting FDMeloan.

Toyota sales was down 1 % and Ford is still dropping heavily.

September sales probably reflect in part the shutdown of production for part of August. My car is being delivered this Saturday and others that had their cars on the TORONTO will boost sales for October!!!
