Hey Don Juan, I may have to send a few New York State Troopers down to Florida to pay you a visit for clocking triple digit speeds.

One of my best friends brother in law is a Florida State Trooper. No Problemo, if needed they can try first to talk to my integrated Valentine One. The road where I live are very wide and straight (almost no curves), for instances sometimes it becomes a 6 lane!!. I cruise every day about 80 to 85mph and people are passing me

Anyway, getting back to the thread, I just got my latest ROUNDEL magazine where they test drive the 530I for 2 weeks. In there there is a nice 3 pager of the Active Steering and the wind issue problem. In summary, BMW recognizes there was a problem and cars after the September build were fixed. The car being test driven was from July build. The writer try different approaches and cam to the conclusion that the prblem only occurs after 75mph when Active steering disengages. He said it leaves a dead feeling in the steering center position. He also disengage the DSC in speeds above 75mph and the car seem to be less prone to wind reactions. I remembered the article when I was a few miles from work do I tried it (wind gust were maybe about 20mph) and I was at about 90mph, the car felt a bit more steady. But that was for just a few minutes. Maybe today when I leave work (If my memory doesn't fai me) I will try it again for a longer period of time.

I think something to do about new tires also, may not just the wind.
