My Ride: ActiveHybrid - fully tricked out
Model Year: 2013
My local tire store is running out of stock and has either Semperit Speedgrips or Micheline PA3's. And about $100 different per tire ! Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the Semperit's. I'm comfortable with PA3's.
Also, the PA3's he has left are 225's. The Speedgrips are 205's. I know I want a narrower tire for winter but is 205 too narrow? I believe it's still in spec for the car.
I live in Toronto so we do get snow. I use a high speed motorway (110+KMPH/70MPH) twice a day. The locals know it as the 407.
Any comments and insights into the Semperit's would be appreciated. I couldn't find even a reference to them on the forum. Maybe that should tell me something.

Hmmm - no response from this community. I think that tells me what I need to know.
I decided to go with 18" Michelin Pilot PA3's with new alloy rims. I think I got a good deal.
Thanks folks.

BMW winter tires are 225/50-17 or 225/55-16 for your car. I run the 17s for winter.
BMW E60 winter wheels/tires
205 width tires is not specified by BMW.

I had to laugh at myself when I realized how much I depend on the wheels to identify my car. The new wheels are quite different so even looking straight at my car - it doesn't look like mine. Still looks good though.
Cheers
