I am trying to sell my car and got a quote from my dealer in vermont for $24,000
My car is a 2007, 525xi Silver, grey leather
Premium
Sports
Cold Weather
Comfort access
PDC
rear window shades
heated rear seats
30,500 miles
DO you think that is a good price? or should i ask for more?

I would try selling it on my own, I tried to trade mine a few months after i got it for a 550 and i was given $23500 and i had more miles than you did $48000 and without comfort access and nav. The dealer always trys to screw you, you can get at least 4k more if not more if you sell it yorself.

Dealers want to buy cars at something below average wholesale or what they would pay if they bought the car at auction. They want to sell cars at "retail" ... the difference is called "profit" - how some companies stay in business!
So unless you are in a rush your personal financial advantage is selling the car privately at a price somewhere south of average retail to move it quicker. Then take the cash and negotiate your best deal for a replacement car with your local or other BMW store.
