I would suggest a private party asking price of $45K and settle at $42 if I had to. it depends on your tolerance for time though.

good luck

Hi guys,
I am planning to sell my 07' 550i with less than 8k miles on it. It's pretty much fully loaded with nav, sports pkg, cold weather pkg, comfort access, rear shades, etc. Perfect condition no accidents before.
However, I am not sure how much I should be getting for it at the current market. Dealer offered me $37k but I felt that it was an insulting low-ball as the car was stickered at $68k when i bought it 2 years ago. Hopefully some of you can enlighten me with your opinions and what I should try to do.

Thanks !

By the way, why are you selling it? Just curious?

I have pondered more than once trying to buy out my lease on my '07 550i, but like you, dealers offer around $40k, and the lease buyout is still about 9k more. Too much dough to take a beating just because I am already getting the itch for something new (and that I'm getting killed on my lease miles...).

Good luck.

Haha...appreciate all the opinions
I am selling it because I am looking to get an M6 or CL63 this coming fall. But if I'm taking such a big hit on my current 550i, I might end up just keeping it.
Gonna try craiglist now

Also, try taking it to CARMAX.... i've heard they pay much more than a traditional dealer would... there's one in Torrance, Inglewood, Buena Park, and Irvine...

check out this FS 2007 550i as well, much more miles than yours but the car has extended warranty to 100k. this give you a feel of your car's value in this market

I dont see why you cant get 45k for it. the kit helps a lot, and you have all the right options.
