Guys,

I tried the safe cracker on my 05 545i with NAV and it did bring me to a Diagnosis applications screen with a button labeled OSD (I assume On screen diagnostics).

When I click on that I get a split frame screen.

Left Side:
ECU List:
C-Application
C-Host
C-Tuner
C-Ask
C-Gateway

When I click on each section I get a bunch of information on the right hand side.

C-Application: SysteNameOrEngineType:19273
VehicleManufacturerCodingindex:6
SystemECUHardwareNumber: xxxxxxxxxx
MsgCatalogVersion: 000.010.148
DateOfManufacturing: 25.01.2005
VehicleManufacturerDiagnosticIndex:2352
OperatingSystemVersion:000.000.000
VehicleManufacturerECUHardwareVersion: 97
FunctionalSoftwareVersion:005.124.001
SystemSupplierIndex:SVDO

When I tab over to the other left frame options, it gives you the same stuff on the right except with different numbers.

No way to find out the version my car is running from this??

Man why did Itype this?? I should have used my camera

Jon

Nop the credit is not mine. I think a few more people posted it before I did.
But so far any of you found out what they mean? Other than one of the entries that might possibly be related to the software version, the rest don't mean a thing to me.

Looks like what iceman encountered before; this proc worked on his loan car but not his own (I presume both with Nav)
