There is very little discussion on the hidden codes on how I-Drive can be configured and how this is done?
Info on MASK can be read by entering:
In the main menu, press and hold the controller for more than 10 seconds and release.
Turn the controller 3 clicks clockwise
Turn the controller 3 clicks counter clockwise
Turn the controller 1 click clockwise
Turn the controller 1 click counter clockwise
Turn the controller 1 click clockwise
Press the controller down to confirm
The menu for service mode appears in the CID.
Are there more hidden codes and what can they do?
I throw it open to the forum as they are far more knowlegable than me..........
Regards
Trevor

As far as i am aware there are only two ways to change the settings in idrive, Autologic and a visit to the dealer.
I would love to know if there is any cheap software out there that allows you to activate and change things yourself.

With the 'medium' amount of research that I have done on the subject, it seems that the "secret" menus within iDrive provide a whole of information. Some of this information is understandable and some is not...lots of number codes, German text, etc. Most importantly, as far as I have been able to determine...again through reading on here and other places...there really isn't anything that you can actually CHANGE via these menus. It seems to be for information only purposes. Anyone know differently?
