Question

A couple of weeks ago I had mentioned in a thread that when I turned the driver's seat warmer on it smelled like electrical wire was burning. Since then I havent turned it on. Well, just a short while ago after running errands around town, I pulled up in my driveway, got out and just decided give the seat a thorough examination, To my surprise a hole has been burnt through the leather on the left flank of the seat. I am still in shock. I am about to get on the phone and call my dealer right now!!!

That sucks, but as was mentioned in the earlier thread, there is a recall on for the seat heaters. Definitely bring it in and they will replace the heater and re-cover or replace the entire seat if need be...

Just don't toast yourself while you're waiting for your appointment. :'(

Maybe it was a good idea not to get the Cold Weather Package and rear seat heating!

Wrong. My seats and steering wheel felt SO great during last weeks Chicago 0 degrees blast. I would never trade that in.

Sorry to hear that, but I am sure your dealer will replace the leather and the seat warmer unit. Good luck
