Hi all,
Not even a week in to ownership and my drivers seat heating has packed in...almost as the backrest still heats up as does the side bolsters on the seat pad but the actual seat pad doesn't, I've tried playing with the seat heat distribution but no joy.
Anyone have any ideas, or is it most likely the seat pad element has packed in?
TIA

While I haven't had any problems with my E60, two of my retired MBs needed new seat heating pads. They are just thin wires that heat up and most often the thin wires are broken when someone kneels on the seat bottom or the wires get a kink in them and burn out. My retired 325iT used to heat up to intolerable levels so was also replaced while under warranty. Either the dealer or their upholstery shop may be able to take care of it.
