Is there any way to turn the chime off when the passenger doesn't have the seat belt on?

I hope not. It's illegal in Texas to have a passenger in the front seat wo a seat belt.

Yes, by gently advising your passenger to wear the seat belt

just buy only a buckle (don't know if that's the correct word), and use that. The car then thinks you're wearing your seatbelt.

i when i dont feel like wearing a seat belt...or im driving to a very close place in slow pace...i stick a key..where your suppose to put the buckle...the key sticks into place and the car thinks the seat belt is on because of the sensor...but please be addvised that the keys may get stuck tthere at times,,,and im not sure if this wouldnt harm the seatbelt...
