Anyone seen scratches on the clear plastic cover on the instrument cluster?

When the warning lights come on during an engine start, I can see nickle sized haze on the top middle of the pastic cover when the warning lights go away, I don't see it I believe it's on the inside because I can't feel it from the outside. It looks like someone sand-papered that area (maybe dropped it on the ground during the manufacturing process).

Anyone seen this? Would folks recommend getting it replaced? It doesn't bother me THAT much and I wouldn't want the repair to cause any new squeeks (cross my fingers). Does it involve removing large portions of the dash?

thanks in advance

I would check with my dealer for a prognosis about lingering effects of replacement. It it's not bothering you, then I would be tempted to leave it alone unless your dealer is very confident that there shouldn't be problems from a do over.

Any factory defective part should be repalced by the dealer.

Even if it doesn't affect your everyday driving, YOU know
that the faulty part is there.

I know that it would bother me - have it changed!
