My service advisor told me that she only schedules her 745 owners with I-drive problems for Mondays or Tuesdays. It turns out that the problems often take all week to fix.....and customers don't like to leave their cars at the dealer over the weekend.

I brought my 545 in for few minor I-drive issues on a Thursday (7am) and the car was still doing a 4hr re-boot late Friday afternoon.

At least they let me have an X3 2.5 for the weekend...except for the less than beemer-esque dashboard quality...this is a fun little loaner car...I'm very impressed.

My uncle is a BMW mechanic and he has warned me that the I drive and the electronics are by far the most troublesome areas in these machines. I still bought one anyway.
