Nice pic. I'd let her shift my stick any day.

I'm confused - I thought the stock 535i engine has 300hp and 300lb/ft of torque. Seems like the chipped values would be 340 and 339, respectively.
+1

Award winning N54 engine in the 335 and 535 outputs more than the 300 hp/ 300 torque quoted by BMW. Many 335 owners have dyno'ed their cars and are putting down 270rwhp.

What is 270rwhp?

270 rear wheel horsepower. Divide this number by .80 for a Step and .85 for 6speed for crank horsepower. Crank hp for Step = 337 hp or 318 hp for 6speed. As you can see, the crank hp is more than what BMW quoted as 300 hp for the N54 engine.

EDIT: I believe that the 270 rwhp is what the 335 6speeds were getting. The 335 Steps should be dynoing at a lower rwhp number.

Another dumb question.
What does "dyno'ed the car" mean.

I have a 535 on order. Can I "dyno" mine?

Thanks

Dyno means running your car on a "treadmill"
The difference is that this treadmill measures your WHP instead of calories burned.
