Not sure if you guys have been seeing these around at dealers or on the roads here in the US yet-I have not until today I saw one parked in the dealer service lot.

I saw the wheels were different so went up for a closer look-and first off I do not know if it was a sport package or not but the wheels-I am guessing the base wheels on these things are just FUGLY. No clue why they are used however I hated the old plain 5 star wheels as well. But the sport wheels on the pre-08 looked 1000 times better. Again not sure what the sport wheels look like.

Also, and not sure why or how but maybe it was the combo of the wheels and the lack of tint or something but the car just did not look as edgy as the current one-almost like they smoothed out portions of it to the point where it does not look as aggressive.

Ya cant say anything bad about the engine-I am jelous and want a 535 but I really gotta say my 07 looked wayyyy better than it from the outside with those stock base wheels.

Why can BMW never put a quality set of rims or exhaust on a base car, especially when base price is 50 grand plus-craziness

Turner Motorsports offers a software upgrade. They are one of the first in the USA to offer reliable dyno developed performance software for the 335 and 535 (+40hp over stock and +39lb/ft of torque over stock). That?s 367hp and 372lb ft of torque, as measured on dyno. Can you say faster than a M3?

I agree , for the facelift couldnt they have lifted the stock wheels as well? Even Audi, and that other german car ...um oyea MBZ come with better stocks on the A6, and E55 .

See now once you start tinkering with a turbo motor-I would be fearing for a warrant issue. With NA cars- a chip or software changing a few things-big deal. But once ya start upping the boost a little and doing things to a turbo-I could see BMW getting all over you for that and not covering dick if they found out-which I am sure if yo up the boost it is easy enough to see that and I know tuners obviously up the boost.

So just saying if I had a new 535 I would be too chicken to do the upgrade but with my current NA car-I went ahead. Not sure what that has to do with anything. All I am saying is if those turbos or engine breaks and you are on the hook-that would be big dough

NO WAY! YOU SAW A 535 at a dealer! SWEET!

Oh yeah, do a search on "warranty" on the board instead of spouting through the keyboard and you'll get the idea what's covered and what's not.

Aren't doctors supposed to do research before making claims?

I'm confused - I thought the stock 535i engine has 300hp and 300lb/ft of torque. Seems like the chipped values would be 340 and 339, respectively.

Are they saying that the dyno measurements on a stock engine are higher than BMW's published numbers?

I heard that maximum boost comes on very early, 1500-3000 rpm, but then decreases as revs rise. A software package that keeps the initial boost level steady would also help.

Vishnu Performance Systems has an upgrade for the 335 claiming +55-60hp and +70-80lb/ft. They don't have it for the 535 yet. Wouldn't it be the same since it's the same engine? Not to familiar with chips. Faster than an M3?

BTW, At Bimmerfest this year, Vishnu was trying to display how easy the mod was and had a hawt chick performing the upgrade. Yeah, she was hawt but if I had a 335 I don't think I would have a model chick touching my ride. No offense to hot model modders.

Same engine, should be the same software.

It's like this on Audis, other tuning chips.

When Shiv from Vishnu Tuning developed the PROcede software, he was well aware that the bi-turbo engine was going into other BMW models. The PROcede will work just fine on the 535i.
