The ///M is just promoting the M kit. I have an ///M on my grill on my 530i. I know its not an M5, but i possess ///M products, hence I'm Proud to sport the badge. I think theres a fine line between posing and being legit.

You know what is funnier? How many people really think its an M5.
Your average person has no clue. Mine says 530 on the back and people say "nice M5". I thank them and move on.

you have to remember that there is a very small percentage of people that can actually tell the difference btwn e60's. im talking from top to bottom, I6 to V10. the everyday driver cannot tell the difference btwn a 550 with m tech and an M5. we may live and work in a circle of people that know cars, bmw's and beyond, but for every 1 person that can spot a "fake" M5, 10 will admire the car read the trunk and think its a M5.

I dont think its posing either. the sports package that comes with msport wheels has badges on them. he has the mtech kit and im sure there are more M (sport) badges inside.
I do think the M badge looks terrible on the left side tho.
