Cut a corner a little to sharp today and the rear wheel hit the curb. Got a loud bang back and a little sway in the rear. First I thoguth I ran over a huge stone or someting, but it was the wheel that hit the curb... ![Frown](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/sad.gif)

After closer inspection it was not that super bad damgae to the rim and I can imagine that the RFT function in the tyre saved it from more severe damage. It's not fun to get a huge cut in the rim, but now it's just a cut and not been bent. I had planned to change the tyres to "normal" ones on the rear after the summer and when checking it was not that much of tread there so it was soon time to change em anyway.
Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the damaged tyre will last the 500km I have to get home. :'(

There was no warning so it seems like it's still keeping the air. I have also tested to drive up to 65mph and it does not behave strange or wibrate.

Looking at that sidewall damage, you are nuts to try to drive 500km on it.
Get it changed now!

perhaps it damaged like that because it's a runflat - i.e. very little flex in the sidewall. Not that I hate RFT's or anything :-)
