Satellite "Squeal"

My Ride: 525i w/ Sport Pkg. Black with black Leather. Cold weather pkg. Satellite, xenons. No aftermarket ... yet.

I have an early 2004 525. Great car ... very, very few complaints.

Since Day 1, the satellite radio tends to deliver a high-pitched, intermittent low-to-medium volume squeal. There are some days when the squeal is not present ... it is rare ... but it never occurs with AM/FM/CD, so I've ruled out the amp and speakers.

Any ideas what it might be? Or, how to further diagnose the source of the problem and repair?

Sirius radio subscription, no nav, no bluetooth ... nothing extra

I've never experienced this squeal with my Sirius. You might want to have it checked out at the dealership since it's likley that something isn't right with the hardware...
