nothing, you might get a warning notice via i drive, but the transmission will not park itself.

HA! I have wondered this so many times. When I had an S550, I tried it...on the freeway... It gave me a warning that I must be stopped to shift into park...thank God. (Don't drive behind me)

Now my horrible temptation it to press the start/stop button while in motion.

Haha, I kind of have the same temptation. There was an article about how to kill the engines of cars with stop/start buttons in light of all the Toyota craziness. It's probably that you have to hold it down for a few seconds before it kills the engine or something like that.

The Toyota debacle made me lose a bit of faith in humanity. There are so many failsafes when it comes to a stuck accelerator, and not one of those crazy opportunist utilized them. Knowing this board, there were probably MANY threads on this subject, but I was in Slovenia and Croatia, away from cell phone signals and wi-fi when this all went down.
