Hi, all
i have just purchased a new 530d well saying new its a 56reg. bascially i have got sat nav and i went to bmw sytner in brum who told me i got country specific sat nav activation. Can anyone please help me to understand what this means becuase the people at bmw sytner didnt know much about it. Does it mean it is a european model bmw 5 series and that has been imported or that it has got european maps on the sat nav so it can work in europe. i Know i need the sat nav cd, sytner say i might need the professtional CD but they were not 100% sure they recommended 2009 - 2. The idrive system states please insert navigation DVD Can some please help by sheding some more light on what country specfic sat nav activation is? and what CD i will need? Plus on the logbook it states version EURO4 02 what does that mean? has it got something to do with emissions? or again does it mean the bmw i got is a euro model inported from somewhere like germany? Please help P.s im from England Birmingham so the car in UK, sorry just thought il meantion that as this is a worldwide forum. Thanks |
as far as i know all e60`s are built in germany though i could be wrong  odd that the dealer didnt know much but then again the SA`a are a bit thick :nono:
has the console got 2 drives or just the one?, for starters business nav has one dvd slot and pro nav has one dvd and one cd slot. 6.2 inch display for business and 8.8 inch for the pro nav, regarding the discs them selves you will need either business nav 2009.2 or pro nav 2009.2 European dvd version. congrats on the torque monster by the way and welcome. |

You definitely need BMW Road Map Europe Professional 09-2 nav DVD. If anyone is interested in the latest BMW Road Map Europe navigation discs (Professional 09-2, High 09-2 or Business 09-1, v32 upgrade cd, or for the MK III units perhaps VDO Dayton 2010 cd) then either PM me or go to www.euronavdiscs.com
Regards.
