Has anyone bought a newer version of their CD version and if so how much was it? Also has anyone ever heard if they can be copied. Not that I would if they could you understand

I have heard of folks burning their NAV DVD for personal use. After burning, they would put the original DVD in storage and use the burnt DVD in the car. I think the software they used was Nero.

Latest versions can be found on E-bay for much less than the dealer wants. My friend at a dealer's part dept. in the pacific northwest has allowed him to burn a copy for his own use - obviously this dealer cannot be named here.

I "tested" my friend's E90 NAV DVD version 2006-2 on a DVD+R disk with my E60 and it works fine

Ive been using a copied one for the last 2 yrs and it works perfect. You can download the latest ones off emule.

Since you're in the UK I wouldn't bother about 2006-2 because it doesn't have the postcodes. Use 2006-1 instead.

I agree, im using 2006-1 and it has postcode search. There are several sources available to download from emule at the moment.

I do have the 2005-2 version copied thanks. I was just curious as to whether anyone else had done it. I heard the upgrade from BMW costs around 140 GBP ($250).
