My Ride: 2004 545i

Sometimes when my traction control kicks in (during wheel spin), my I-drive will jump from satellite radio to regular radio (AM/FM). It didn't always occur, I have gotten CIP upgrades since I've owned my car.

Has anyone elses' car done this, or is mine just cursed?

At least you get wheel spin. Check this thread out. But, no my car doesn't jump from sat to radio. Have you tried to turn both DSC and DTC off? Check out the tread I mentioned.

I haven't tried turning off the DSC/DTC to diagnose this issue. I suppose that would tell me if it's the traction control kicking in that is making my SAT freak out. A fine idea, thanks for the tip.

On another note, it usually requires wet roads to get my tires to break loose (and even then only for a short spell, until the traction control overules the engine and spoils the fun).
